Villandry, the perfect gardens model
Villandry is the last château to have been built during the Renaissance in the Loire Valley. Its understated elegance combined with the charm of its remarkable gardens make of this castle one of the jewels of the world heritage. Mister Carvallo undertook to reinvent the fabulous gardens at the beginning of the 20th century.

Your three course lunch (drinks not included ) in Amboise, at the foot of the château, will let you appreciate this lively, charming town, so typical of la Touraine. Leaving gourmet pretentions aside, just for the moment, you will enjoy a simple, home cooked meal.

Owned successively by: Catherine de Medicis; Diane de Poitiers, and the Prince de Broglie, this Renaissance castle contains a beautiful collection of Renaissance furniture, luxurious stables and of special importance, hosts the International Garden Festival each year, with a varying theme.
