Villandry, the perfect gardens model
Villandry is the last château to have been built during the Renaissance in the Loire Valley. Its understated elegance combined with the charm of its remarkable gardens make of this castle one of the jewels of the world heritage. Mister Carvallo undertook to reinvent the fabulous gardens at the beginning of the 20th century.
View of the medieval fortress and wine tasting in a modern cellar. A full hour of discovery of Cabernet Franc in the company of the wine maker.
Lunch in Chinon in a typical local restaurant
Chenonceau, the Lady’s Château
From its feminine elegance, it is a gem of the Renaissance, with rich furniture and masters paintings. Laying over the Cher, a Loire tributary, this chateau is the work of 3 passionate 15th century women. Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medicis gardens are not to be missed either.
